Welcome to the 2022 RING Meeting!

The RING Team is pleased to invite all its academic and industrial sponsors to the 2022 RING Meeting at the School of Geology, in Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy. 


What is the RING Meeting?

The annual RING Meeting is a privileged moment of interaction between students, researchers and RING Consortium affiliates.

Technical Conference

The schedule will include oral presentations from the RING Team researchers and students (Tuesday all day, and Wednesday morning). It provides an overview of the current RING Team activities on promising research topics. 

This conference also welcomes contributions from sponsors to showcase their research work in integrative numerical geology to the community.

After the conference, sponsors can access the presented material (papers, presentation slides and recorded presentations). The proceedings of the conference are restricted to sponsors as well.

Demos & talking sessions

After the technical talks, two "Open Lab" days (Thursday & Friday) will be devoted to demos and talks between the sponsors and the team, upon registration. 

Time sharing

Social events are important!
It gives the opportunity to participants to become acquainted with each others.
An Ice Breaker cocktail is organized after the first day of the technical conference. In addition, the RING Team is pleased to invite participants to a dinner during the event.

RING Meeting Online & Captation

Most of the conference will be streamed online on Microsoft Teams. Please remember that technical talks will be recorded and available on the Sponsor's Corner.

The conference will be recorded and broadcasted online by the University of Lorraine Captation Team. Your image, interventions in the framework of the 2022 RING Meeting will be therefore recorded. You will need to give consent for this during the registration process.

How to attend?

The participation is free for Consortium affiliates.

Selected non-member delegates are also welcome to the conference, however an attendance fee is requested to take part: 

Non-members on-site attendance: 350€
Non-members online attendance: 100€

You will receive an automatic email once your registration has been validated.
Non-members delegates : Once you have pre-registered you will receive an invoice for the registration fee. 

The on-site participation includes:

  • Ice-breaker cocktail

  • Abstracts submissions* >> February, 15
    We encourage you to submit abstracts to the IAMG conference (see information below) as for organisational reasons, this year's RING Meeting will be shorter and will only focus on internal presentations by the RING team and by industrial sponsors of the Consortium.

  • Registration opening >> March, 1

  • Notifications for acceptation of abstracts >> March, 18

  • Full papers submissions* >> May, 5

  • Registration closing* >> June, 15 at 2pm CET

  • 2022 RING Meeting >> June, 28-29

 *Please note that no extensions can be granted for these deadlines. 


A word about the IAMG Conference

The RING Team is also organizing the 21th Annual Conference of the International Association for Mathematical Geosciences from August 29 to September 03, 2022 at the Centre Prouvé in Nancy.
